New Working Draft of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG) is out

Since the previous public Working Draft of WCAG 2.0, published on 30 July 2004, the WCAG working group has incorporated over 200 public comments. To help address usability issues raised with the July drafts, WAI also developed "Introduction to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Working Draft Documents" as a starting point for WCAG 2.0. The Introduction illustrates the relationships between WCAG 2.0 and the supporting documents, and links to the current version of each document. The introduction is available at: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/wcag20

The WCAG has had 5 working documents published since Nov 19th this year.

You can send in your comments on the draft by 3 January 2005 to: public-comments-wcag20[at]w3.org

For the movie buff.. the Internet Movie Database

IMDB is the worlds largest internet movie database. If you do need any information on a movie or something, IMDB would be a good place to drop by. Though no really in depth reviews or analisis, it's still worth a visit.

I tried looking up 'Train Spotting' and 'How green was my valley' for some background info to aid me with my Critical Design study (on movie posters) module at college and didn't come up with much info for the latter. I still was able to ,make a few interesting notes however.

Shynola

The talented film making collective known as Shynola are Richard “Kenny” Kenworthy, Gideon Baws, Jason Groves and Chris Harding.

They've done amazing video animation work like Senior Junior's " Move your Feet" and recently Blur's "Good Song" (along with David Shrigley). They were also the highlight at this years Resfest which I caught here in Singapore. With clients like Nike, Orange, Sony Playstation and videos done for Quannum, Grooverider, Radiohead, Unkle and Blur, they sure know how to have a good time while making big bucks at the same time. I think Shynola kicks ass!

The Digital Archive

The Internet Archive is building digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access tao researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

Download tons of free videos from there, a lot of old films as well. You can find Nosferatu in here and some more art noire.

I suggest you definitely check out the Internet Archive.

Cludia Cortes and her interactive experience of color communication and symbolism

This website was done as part of her thesis. It's very beautifully done!

You'll love it if you are a designer. Even if you are not actually.
